A healthy lifestyle

It is a well known fact that regular exercise supports physical and mental well-being. However, in today’s fast paced environment, many people find it hard to dedicate time for physical activities like exercise.
This was an inspiration for Perbadanan TAIB
management who then initiated a monthly exercise
program. Coordinated by Logistics and General
Administration department and the staff welfare
body of TAIB, the first exercise activity was
held in April 2011 at the PGGMB ground floor
parking area in Bandar Seri Begawan. Since then,
activities have included tai chi and aerobics.
It has proved to be a success amongst staff
members.
For the half financial year back in June 2011,
staff were treated to a ‘Health Awareness Day’
at the Health Promotion Centre where medical
professionals were on hand to conduct basic
medical tests such as checking BMI, blood
pressure, blood check, eye and dental. Dental
and nutritional talks were also held to enhance
awareness and addressed the importance of a
proper diet.
Perbadanan TAIB is keen on organizing activities
that promote the well-being and awareness on
health related issues for its staff. Activities
held represent TAIB’s commitment to its
employees’ health and striving together towards
a healthy lifestyle. |
