TAIB held TAIB Deposit Certificate (TDC) Grand Draw

TAIB Deposit Certificate (TDC) final grand draw was finally held by TAIB at The Empire Hotel & Country Club. It was the final announcement for the lucky winner of the $45,000 cash prize in conjunction with the TDC launching promotion in 2006. The nominees were invited to witness the draw with CHIEW YING HONG being picked as the lucky winner of the grand prize.
Four other runner ups were also anounced, Lim Ting Hing, Pengiran Hajah Fatimah Pengiran Haji Lampoh, Lee King Hing and Haji Mohammas Hanafi Haji Abdul Rahmah, who each brought home a 32-inch television as consolation prize.
Prizes were presented by the Acting Managing Director of Perbadanan TAIB, Yang Mulia Pg Hj Abdul Rahman bin Pg Hj Mat Salleh. Present were the family members of the nominees as well as the management of Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB and Darussalam Holdings.
TDC is a short to medium term Syariah compliant deposit certificate based on Al-Mudharabah concept (profit-sharing) where the returns would be distributed to the depositors. It was introduced in 2006 in an effort to inculcate saving habits and create awareness of financial planning. TDC, an alternative to interest-bearing deposits is opened to both Muslim and non-Muslim individuals to start their financial planning with a minimum deposit of B$100.00. To be eligible for this draw, the account holders have to maintain a minimum B$100,000.00 in their 3 years TDC account.
