Over forty employees from
Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB)
ventured out to Badas Forest Reserve on
Saturday, August 15, 2009, to plant 1000 trees
for the ISB Million Trees Project in Support of
the Heart of Borneo. The group led by Hjh
Halimah, was very enthusiastic and planted their
indigenous trees in record time in a plot
specifically designated for TAIB.
The group was greeted by David Taylor, Executive
Principal, who spoke to them about the
importance of re-planting these areas of
kerangas forest within the designated Heart of
Borneo in Brunei.
TAIB’s contribution brings the total number of
trees funded to 26161 of which 12560 have now
been planted. Mr Taylor commended TAIB for its
support of the project and said how delighted he
was that so many of the employees had
volunteered to assist with the planting.
