contributes for ‘flood and landslide victims’ in
Negara Brunei Darussalam

The
presentation for contributions to ‘the flood and
landslide victims funds’ was held at the
Ministry of Home Affairs headquarters in the
capital.
A cheque worth BND100,000 (one hundred thousand
dollars only) was presented by YM Dato Paduka Dr
Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein, the Deputy
Minister of Development as the Chairman of
Perbadanan TAIB and received by Yang Berhormat
Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia
Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja
Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohd Yusof,
the Minister of Home Affairs.
Also present at the ceremony was YM Pengiran
Haji Abdul Rahman bin Pengiran Haji Mat Salleh,
TAIB’s Acting Managing Director.
The contribution was part of Perbadanan TAIB in
assisting to ease the burden of the affected
victims due to the continuous heavy downpour
phenomena which occurred since the last October
till earlier this year.
Extracted from the press release in the Borneo
Bulletin dated 4th February 2009, there were
about 890 houses damaged due to the flash floods
and landslides.
