The most awaited event was finally held by TAIB at The Rizqun International Hotel at The Mall Gadong. It was the final announcement of the grand prize winners for the TAIB Baraka Deposit Certificate and Akaun Berjasa Promotions.

TAIB Baraka Deposit Certificate (TBDC) was officially launched in June 2007 in an effort to inculcate saving habits as well as to create awareness towards financial planning. It is another continuing effort by TAIB to diversify its existing products and services to enable customers to choose the best suited products.

TBDC is a long term syariah compliant deposit with maturity period of 5 years based on Al-Wakalah & Al-Mudharabah concept. It is also an investment linked deposit which will provide better returns.

Customers were entitled to win the Grand Prize of the new version of the Toyota Vios and consolation prizes of cash worth BND$800, BND$500 and BND$300 only.

The Akaun Berjasa was launched in December 2007 and Promotion ends 31st July 2008. It aimed to provide another savings options especially for the senior citizens for an organised savings of their monthly income and pensions. It is also to create awareness for financial planning. Customers are to maintain a minimum balance of BND$500 in their accounts to be eligible for the draw.

Winners are entitled to win the Grand Prize of Air Tickets for Umrah Package or 5days/4nights to Gold Coast, Australia along with BND$500 cash which is co-sponsored by TAIB and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, 2nd prize will receive 40” LCD TV, and 3rd prize 3 days / 2 nights package Air Tickets to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Prizes were presented to the winners by the Guest of Honour YM Dato Paduka Dr Haji Mat Suny Bin Haji Mohd Hussein, The Deputy Minister of Development as Chairman of Perbadanan TAIB. Also present were the TAIB Acting Managing Director, YM Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Pengiran Haji Mat Salleh and invited guests.
