TAIB Held Its 3rd Financial Talk

TAIB held its 3rd Financial Talk
at The Rizqun International Hotel at The Mall
Gadong as a Continuous Programme from the
previous talk held last May and July.
The talk was officiated by a welcoming keynote
by
TAIB's Acting Managing Director, Yang Mulia
Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Pengiran Haji Mat
Salleh.
Two topics were presented by invited speakers
mainly on the issue of Sukuk, which includes
‘Introduction to Bond/Sukuk Investment’ by
Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit, Head Group Asset
Management Cimb Islamic Malaysia, and ‘Global
Economic Outlook: “Riding The Tide”’ by Ms
Tursina Yaacob, Associate Director, Global
Research at Kuwait Finance House.
The 3rd Financial Talk aimed to educate the
public on the nature and characteristics of
bonds. In addition, the talk also gave a market
outlook which is beneficial especially the
current global market turmoil (uncertainty).
With this it enables the audience to understand
bonds and the risk associated with it.
Over 200 public attended the talk including
loyal customers of Perbadanan
TAIB which was
opened on a ‘first come first serve basis’ and
also invited officials and students from the
government, private sectors and higher learning
institutions.
There will be one
(1) last series of talk planned to be held
towards the end of year as part of
TAIB's annual
activity for the year 2008 and will be notified
to the public in the future.
